A pneumatic ramming tool drives the casing forward without the removal of spoils. Spoils are removed by various methods, dependant on soil types, after the casing is in place. The Hammer and Pipe Ramming method is well suited for cobbles and running sands and provides the lowest probability of surface subsidence.
